Bringing Solar to Renters

We fought for it, and now we’re bringing clean energy to the frontlines! The Solar on Multifamily Affordable Housing (SOMAH) program provides up to $100 million a year for solar on multifamily housing serving working class renters throughout California.

Renters need clean energy and our communities have been on the frontlines of pollution. Now we’re knocking down barriers to the benefits of the renewable energy economy. SOMAH is the largest investment in solar in the country, and the majority of bill savings and benefits go to tenants, all while prioritizing local green job hiring.

Project costs may be completely covered, meaning no cost to property owners or tenants. SOMAH is in high demand and APEN is here to help our communities get access!

Do you want to help bring renewable energy into our neighborhoods? Are you a tenant living in affordable housing? Sign up below to find out more about how to get solar panels on your building. Visit the SOMAH website for more details on benefits here.
