We at APEN are keeping up the pressure to pass Schools and Communities First, a ballot measure this November that would restore $12 billion in funding for our schools, parks, and local services. These life-saving investments would directly benefit working-class communities of color like ours who have been hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic.

This is not going to be an easy fight to win. Our opposition is made up of some of the biggest corporations in California. They have more money than we do, and our campaign is relying on millions of working-class Californians talking to their friends, families, and neighbors about this opportunity to win vital resources for our communities.

This is why we need you to join us. We are looking to recruit 100 Champions to support #SchoolsAndCommunitiesFirst to restore $12 billion for our parks, schools, health clinics, and libraries.

We’re not alone in this fight: we are joining our coalition partners at Asian American Pacific Islanders For Civic Empowerment (AAPIFORCE) to launch 100 Champions for Our Schools and Communities, a volunteer organizing base to win Schools and Communities First. By becoming a champion, you will be able to connect with Asian immigrant and refugee communities across the state fighting for our parks, health clinics, libraries and schools.

The time for change is now! Sign up below to become a champion for our schools and local services.
