Right now, billionaires and their cronies are dismantling our federal government; taking aim at working families, immigrants and LGBTQ people; and giving big corporations free rein to pollute our air and water.
With this backdrop, it can be easy to forget to celebrate how much our movements have won – how much we have achieved, and will achieve, by building grassroots power and solidarity with each other.
In California and across the country, working-class communities of color like ours are building a future where all of us have access to clean air and the resources we need to thrive. While the federal situation is bleak, at the local level we are winning real victories with long-term consequences. We are organizing movements for the long haul, united by solidarity and a bold vision for the future.
It is in this spirit of celebration that we are excited to share with you APEN’s 2024 annual report. Please take a moment to look through it to hear directly from our members and staff about their experiences, learnings and hard-won victories last year.
