On July 17th, join APEN for a virtual townhall to celebrate the official qualification of Schools and Communities First for the November election and get the newest updates about the campaign. Listen to students, leaders, and elected officials across CA about why this campaign is so important. This event is hosted by APEN, Chinese Progressive Association, and AAPI FORCE. This event is held in Cantonese with Mandarin interpretation available. We will also be raffling three $10 gift cards during the event to participants!

Schools and Communities First is a ballot initiative on the November 2020 ballot that will reclaim $12 billion for public schools and critical local services by closing the corporate property tax loophole in CA. In the midst of the pandemic, our local and regional governments are facing impossible choices, severe budget shortfalls, layoffs, and cuts to critical services. Generating $12 billion every year, Schools & Communities First will be one important solution for California’s recovery.

Join us on July 17th from 4-5:30pm and register for the townhall here.

The event will also be livestreamed on Facebook. Follow APEN on Facebook for updates!
